She was married to Jack Morris Barker on July 22, 1955. She enjoyed cooking for her family, tending to her flowers, and UK basketball. She went on to run her own small businesses for over 25 years in McRoberts KY. She was a 1954 Graduate of Fleming-Neon High School. She was an excellent self-taught seamstress including embroidering, crocheting, and quilting. Her dedication to church and reading her Bible were the most important things to her. She was the widow of Ernest Wright and a daughter of Acie and Edna Johnson Rose. She passed at her residence in Payne Gap, Ky. PAYNE GAP, KY – Martha Lavada (Rose) Wright, 85, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on June 10, 2023.
